  • Apply a lip moisturizer daily for nourishment (Burtsbees Lip Balm is advised or Vaseline lip balm), begin moisturizing daily two week prior to the appointment or as soon as you book the appointment up until the procedure date. Nightly apply organic honey on the lips for additional nourishment and hydration for the lips. Exfoliate your lips the day prior to your procedure with a lip scrub, If lips are too dry the needle will not penetrate correctly - which may result in multiple sessions.

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND that clients take a prescribed anti-viral medication (i.e. Acyclovir, Zovirax, Valtrex, etc.) 500mg or 400mg twice day on the day of the appointment and 3 days after the procedure (total of 4 days) to prevent an outbreak. Consult with your physician and let them know you are doing this procedure to have them prescribe you. You will also need to take this medication for your follow up touch up appointment 4-6 weeks after.

  • If you have never had a cold sore, there still may be potential risk and recommend to take prescribed anti-viral medication (i.e. Acyclovir, Zovirax, Valtrex, etc.) 500mg or 400mg twice day on the day of the appointment and 3 days after the procedure (total of 4 days) to prevent an outbreak. What factors will affect my cosmetic tattoo?

  • Certain skin types (oily, dry, combination, or normal) may effect how it heals on the skin, everyone's skin heals different therefor results vary per clients and certain methods suit better skin types than others. As this factor is out of our control, it is important to follow the aftercare instructions carefully for the best results.

  • Certain medications and supplements may effect the skin making it difficult to deposit the pigment and the retention of the pigmentation in the skin, please consult with your technician if you are taking any medications/supplements.

  • Bleeding/Lymphatic fluid during the procedure: Excessive bleeding/lymphatic fluid during your procedure will greatly affect how your body retains pigment. While this is not entirely in our control, it is important that you follow prep instructions to help minimize bleeding/lymphatic fluid. This includes avoiding blood thinning medications, alcohol, caffeine and working out before your procedure.

  • Smokers may notice that their tattoo will fade faster.

  • Suns exposure/ UV rays - Increased exposure to the sun will cause premature fading and possible pigmentation change.

  • As with every tattoo in order to have proper healing, we recommend avoiding swimming, saunas, sun exposure, working out for 10 days following your appointment, so plan vacations accordingly.

What to Expect during your cosmetic tattoo appointment?

CONSULTATION (15 MIN)

  • Upon arrival, we'll have you fill out a consent form followed by discussing your preferences, lifestyle, what you are looking to achieve, and your concerns. We’ll examine your concern whether it be brows, lips, or eyes, and ask you a few questions about your daily routine. You’re welcome to to bring any reference photos you may have to express your ideal look and we’ll discuss your shape preferences and pigment color. We'll get into the details of how the healing process will be and the aftercare instructions. This is also the perfect time to ask any questions that you may have.

BROW/LIP/EYE MAPPING (30-45 MIN)

  • Using a few measuring tools and facial guidelines, we’ll custom design a shape outline that’s best proportioned to your facial features - whether it is brows, lips, or eyes. Precision and balance is key during this time. We may ask you to smile, frown, talk and laugh so we can see how your mimic muscles move. We’ll both review the design and make any adjustments necessary. We double check at the end through an application processor for symmetry, once the design is approved we will begin!

PROCEDURE (1.5-2 HOURS)

Your transformation begins! We will provide and ask you to put on protective dressing. If necessary, for your comfort you will be numbed throughout the procedure and you will be laying down still for the entire procedure. We advise to refrain from talking during the procedure as we want to preform the best quality work possibly without any shifting/interference. We'll let you know at the end when your procedure is completed for the big reveal!

AFTERCARE

We will review after care instructions and what to expect for the next following weeks again with you and provide you with an aftercare kit that includes an instruction card and everything you’ll need for the initial healing period of 10 days. It’s important that you follow all the aftercare instructions as directed to achieve the best results and retention for your permanent cosmetic. We wouldn’t want to waste all that time and care we just invested into them!
